Candy Feit, LCSW

clinical social worker / psychotherapist

I am a therapist working with individuals and couples using a psychodynamic approach to help clients navigate trauma, grief and loss, relationship challenges, and life transitions. I support people facing a range of stressors — caregiving, illness, identity exploration, emotional overwhelm — and I have significant experience working with LGBTQ+ individuals and couples, offering affirming, relational care. My goal is to help clients better understand themselves and their relationships while building insight, emotional resilience, and meaningful change. Before becoming a therapist, I spent twenty years as a documentary photographer and artist. That work is rooted in close collaboration and deep listening—and building visual narratives about people, their relationships, and their lived experience. It brought me into intimate proximity with both hardship and joy, and taught me how to stay present with complexity and vulnerability. That same curiosity about people and connection is what ultimately led me into psychotherapy, where I continue to do that work in a different, more relational form.I completed my MSW in 2022 at Fordham University Graduate School of Social Service, with a Fellowship in Palliative Care. My graduate training focused on supporting patients and caregivers managing terminal and life-limiting illnesses, and I have extensive experience working with patients and families navigating hospice, end-of-life care, and the difficult decisions and emotions that surround it.I specialize in grief and loss in all its forms. While grief is a universal human experience, everyone processes it in their own way and on their own timeline. My role is to create a safe, supportive space where clients can face their losses with empathy and understanding — and without being rushed toward resolution.

MY approach

How I work.My approach is warm and collaborative, rooted in curiosity about you as an individual and how you navigate through the world. I believe that no matter who we are, therapy can play a vital role in helping us live more connected, authentic, and fulfilling lives.Grief & Loss
I specialize in grief in all its forms — the loss of a person, a relationship, a body, an era of life. Everyone processes grief differently and on their own timeline. My role is to create a safe space to face loss without being rushed toward resolution.

I have significant experience working with LGBTQ+ individuals and couples, offering affirming, relational care on a wide range of concerns — from identity and relationships to grief and community belonging.
Individuals & Couples
I work with adults 18 and older — both individuals and couples — using a psychodynamic approach rooted in curiosity about you as a person and how you navigate the world.
